The past month or so there has been a low rumbling surrounding the Wissota Street Stock division at Dacotah Speedway. The speculation has been unbelievable...simply unbelievable as people have made social media posts slamming the track for making such a wild decision to drop the Wissota Street Stocks for IMCA Stock Cars. However, there was one problem to these posts and that was that they simply were based off of rumors and emotions. That's right there was little to no factual evidence that the track had made any decision to switch classes. While there was some interest in taking a look at what would happen if the track were to switch, there was not enough support in place to even consider moving forward with a meeting to switch the classes. Furthermore, the board did their due diligence to reach out to those drivers who the decision would affect. They did go out and ask for feedback from the drivers who supported the Dacotah Speedway for the majority of the season. From this feedback a final verdict of which class was going to be running for the 2023 season was made.
Final verdict: The Dacotah Speedway will be racing Wissota Street Stocks for the 2023 season.
So, what have we learned?
The Dacotah Speedway Board does listen to its drivers.
Dacotah Speedway will still host one of the best classes in the midwest come the 2023 season.
