It's clear to see that in North Dakota the INEX legends class is currently the hot class to be in as their numbers continue to sky rocket. The legend craze is currently in its second year of extreme growth and it has spread across the state as there are now multiple tracks that are averaging around thirty or more legends on any given night. For the legends drivers and fans this upcoming Friday is one of the biggest shows of the year for them as Dacotah Speedway hosts the Night of the Legends!
It is one of the most unique racing events in the state as the INEX Legends class will be broken down into two classes based off of driver divisional ranking. What this will look like is that the Young Lions and Semi-Pro drivers will face off against each other in their own heats and feature and then the Pro and Masters division drivers will do the same as well. But wait! There's an even more exciting twist to this night of racing! Seeing that there are two divisions racing in each feature, there will be two winners for each INEX Legends feature! That's right, each race will have two winners as the highest finishing driver of each division will take home a winners check regardless of where they finish! If a Young Lions driver wins their feature they will take home a first place check worth $1,500. Then let's say the highest finishing Semi-Pro driver is fifth place, that driver will be considered the winner for the Semi-Pro division and take home a first place check worth $1,500. The same will happen for the Pro/Masters feature.
Last year saw over forty cars in attendance and with the combining factors of the continued growth of the class and that Red River Valley Speedway having the night off, it is very possible to see a field of fifty-sixty cars in attendance this year!
