Mama Vetter Challenge Kicks Off Saturday

This Saturday at the Jamestown Speedway a new four night racing challenge kicks off as the Mama Vetter Challenge drops the green flag. The Mama Vetter Challenge was formed by the Vetter family as a way to honor the late Mary Vetter who they lost in 2022. Mary was avid fan of racing as she supported her family in their racing endeavors. This series was made for the drivers for welcoming her into their world and to show appreciation for their donations that have helped with the medical bills that were incurred. This series essentially is a way for the family to say thank you and to give back to the drivers to say thank you for letting her be part of the racing family.

Going into this weekend there is a lot of important details for the competing bomber/hobby stock drivers to know and understand. So let's break it down and give you some solid insight of what you will need to know.

  • Each race will be contested under each tracks bomber/hobby stock rules.

  • Each race will be for the regular weekly purse for the class, unless additional money is added to the purse. Thanks to Brandon Vetter an additional $100 will be added to the winners portion.

  • In order to be eligible for the $1,000 to win points fund a driver must compete in a minimum of three of the four races.

  • If a driver makes all four nights, their worst finish will be dropped and their top 3 events will be kept.

  • A disqualification of night will be viewed as a no show and a loss of 10 points for the challenge.

  • Heat wins give the driver a 3 point bonus.
